Hi Till, This bug is already fixed in hplip-3.14.6 version with reference to https://bugs.launchpad.net/hplip/+bug/1310869.
Hi dmatt, Can you download "hplip-3.14.6.run" file from http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/gethplip.html and install it by running command "sh hplip-3.14.6.run" in terminal.
