Probably coincident only but to me it seems it was enough to: * Log out from desktop * Log in from character terminal (CTRL-ALT-F1) as normal user * rm -rf ~/.gconf/apps/nm-applet/ * exit from terminal * Log back via graphical
I really believe this was only a coincidence since I made a backup of the original ~/.gconf/apps/nm-applet/%gconf.xml and diff with the new and only the mtime value is different.
