This was while using libtracker on Ubuntu 13.10, IIRC. I don't remember the search tool; something very simple and basic, as I don't typically use desktop environments. I don't remember much more, but when I dug into it I remember getting the impression it was likely because of the API's lack of query parameter binding. I don't remember much more, sorry; it was six months ago.
