(Subscribing wraithmonk to this bug report so the reply is seen) wraithmonk: Your card is too old to be affected by this issue (you basically need a card which is an 8000 series or above for this to stop X loading). I suspect your issue is something else so I'd either check for another more suitable bug or perhaps file a new bug report if none could be found as you appear to be using a stock install with only Ubuntu provided pieces.
