After reboot KDM refused to start. I fixed the problem by running dselect from the commandline: First select option 4 to fix any leftover configurations. Then select option 3 to (re)install kdm, or any other package that still had to get upgraded. What puzzles me is that the system now states I have kdm 4:3.5.7-1ubuntu16 installed?
