Christopher, i've updated the bios to 2.09 (had to boot into windows because i didnt have an empty CD handy) and the behaivor remains the same: when i suspend under ubunty screen goes off, led start to blink and fans continue to spin, laptop wont wake up. here's the output of the command you requested:
