I have emailed elantech several times requesting a driver or some
details to get one written, but they no longer reply to my form
submission.

I have also emailed MSI to see if they can apply some pressure to
elantech or do something themselves.

I think it might be worth anyone using an elantech touchpad to email
elantech requesting a linux driver and/or hardware documentation to get
a GPL v2 licensed driver written.

<rant>I personally think it's completely unfair that companies like this
can use Linux/opensource in their organisation, but have absolutely no
interest in contributing back to the community.</rant>
