I have the same issue in a newly installed Lubuntu 14.04. As additional background, I prefer to change the directory menu settings to browse /media (changed from within the applet gui), in order to quickly verify and/or search mounted usb flash devices. However, the behavior is the same. I can navigate devices and directories, and everything seems to be properly recognized and displayed; I simply cannot click "open" or "open in terminal" to initiate action. It's a dead response. Hoping for a quick remedy, or perhaps workaround?! THANK YOU!
