I didn't think that there were any reports of issues with 3160, but now I see that you did mention it in comment #42. At this point we've already queued up the patch to disable beacon filtering in 3.13, so I'm not sure that it makes sense to pull out the -8 firmware for 3160 at this point. Also just a note that we do plan to reintroduce the -8 firmare for 7260 once the kernel with the beacon filtering patch gets relesed. > Also, IWL7260_UCODE_API_MAX seems to still be set at 8 as the -9 > firmware Yep. Right now we aren't planning to bump 3.13 to use -9, but in the future we'll have HWE kernels which will use it, so Tim went ahead and included it when he updated linux-firmware recently. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1293569 Title: iwlwifi-7260-8.ucode causes network disconnections problems To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-firmware/+bug/1293569/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
