I didn't think that there were any reports of issues with 3160, but now
I see that you did mention it in comment #42. At this point we've
already queued up the patch to disable beacon filtering in 3.13, so I'm
not sure that it makes sense to pull out the -8 firmware for 3160 at
this point.

Also just a note that we do plan to reintroduce the -8 firmare for 7260
once the kernel with the beacon filtering patch gets relesed.

Yep. Right now we aren't planning to bump 3.13 to use -9, but in the
future we'll have HWE kernels which will use it, so Tim went ahead and
included it when he updated linux-firmware recently.
