Hmmm, I'm a linux newbie trying to come up to speed. Hope I'm not
overdoing it with details. I opened a terminal window and ran the blkid
command. I have 3 hardrives in my machine, no optical disk, blkid is
clearly showing 4 devices. Here is the readout from the blkid:

/dev/sda1: LABEL="Blk Cav" UUID="1048E52C48E51170" TYPE="ntfs"
/dev/sdb1: UUID="2D030D790055A20C" TYPE="ntfs"
/dev/sdc1: UUID="8f4996c0-c2f5-449f-a35c-47f301f66803" TYPE="ext4"
/dev/sdc5: UUID="bb5a4de5-52c7-4781-9520-853743d23b58" TYPE="swap"
