Hi David, Here's what I've done and it seems to have worked - fingers crossed.
I removed the indicator-printers using Synaptic. Added the Pre-release Updates in the repositories. Then installed the indicator-printers using Synaptic. Then changed the repositories back to normal unticking the Pre-release Updates. Rebooted And it stayed working for me.
