I suspect that the problem has to do with large numbers of downloads
demanded by gmail accounts. I have two gmail accounts and one which
uses gmail as the carrier. When large attachments are received, the
entire Thunderbird window greys out for a number of seconde (dependin on
the speed of the computer I am using. I have two desktops and one
netbook running versions from 10.04 through 14.10 (Utopic). I have neen
aware of the problem for some months now, but have not known how to
report it. I still don't really know how to do so, but thought it was
time anyway as some friends online are seeing similar problems.
