Public bug reported: I'm new to linux, so I'm not sure if it is a bug. I installed Ubuntu 7.04 as dual boot in my lap top. ( Toshiba Satellite Pro).
1. I don't hear the sound in Ubuntu, but I do with XP. When I play a song, I can see the visual effects, but I can't hear the sound. Initially I could hear through my head phones, but the internal speakers only didn't sound. Now I can't hear through headphones either. 2. When I insert any CD, not only it doesn't work, but I can't eject it o either. I need to restart to get the CD out. I don't face these problems when I boot with Windows XP pro. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Sound and CD don't work in Toshiba notebook. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/135827 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
