Scott, I've been testing your kernel build with the iwlwifi-7260-8.ucode firmware (22.24.8.0), and so far so good. Although the particular problem I've been encountering sometimes takes a day or two to occur, so I'll let you know how it fairs after a few more days of use.
However, I have confirmed that my disconnect problem still occurs with the -8 and -9 firmware, when nothing else is changed in the Ubuntu 3.13 kernel (except for the max API version when testing -9). So hopefully disabling the beacon filtering will do the trick.
