Confirmed using a HP Pavilion dv4000 with Feisty as well. It was the same in Dapper I remember.
I am burning in 4x-4.5x tops in k3b, but in 8x if I reboot in XP and use CD Burner XP Pro (freeware burning app). A 4.2 GB DVD-R burn takes 40 minutes (as opposed to 15min i XP).
