Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kmenuedit
Kubuntu Gusty Tribe Four When i right click on a menu item, i chose "edit item" at which point kmeuedit initiates. everything seems to be working fine until i go to save my changes. I receive the following error: Menu changes could not be saved because of the following problem: Could not write to /home/USERNAME/.config/menus/applications-kmenuedit.menu (of course replacing my actual username with USERNAME) now i tried a few things i found on forums using chmod 755 and 777 for the .config folder and nothing seems to help. I am a moderate kubuntu user with knowledge i feel far beyond a nub but this is definitely beyond my grasp. for example; this is the first time i have ever had to file a bug report since i started using Ubuntu Hoary i have been able to solve all the problems using forums and basic understanding and problem solving skills. As this is a testing distro thus far i expect bugs so thats why i'm reporting. hoping to do a little to help make kubuntu and the whole ...buntu family happier. ** Affects: kdebase (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Menu changes could not be saved because of the following problem https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/135757 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
