Public bug reported:

On 13.10, the network-manager would allow me to select from one of two
of my Ethernet configurations: Auto eth0 & Work. The network manager no
longer even displays the Ethernet connection and there appears to be no
way to select the 'Work' network settings. Only the WiFi and VPN
connections show up in the network-manager applet.
