Hello. The PATA controller provided by the jmb363 doesn't work properly under linux... several bugs are under way. After mannage to install Ubuntu using an external USB DVD drive, I realized it's impossible to record cds or dvds using any of my optical drives (btw, they are healthy) in several bios and cable configurations. Reading works, but sometimes halts, and recording is completely impossible. I already trashed some cds and dvds.
K3b gives this error logs for two different bios configurations of the jmb363 controller. The default cd creator simply says: Error writing to disc. Does someone has some tip in how to solve this?
