I'm happy to jump through those hoops, this is driving me crazy. It just happened again. I think it may be connected to a Ctrl key combination, or a Shift-Ctrl or possibly an accidental press of the blue Function key (which does nothing as far as I can see).
Both times today I am /not/ using the USB keyboard, but the built-in keyboard on the laptop.
