Seth, I think the patch above is safe for 3.13. I don't know how to upstream that since it is fixed in 3.15 and this basically means that I need a patch in 3.13 / 3.14 which won't be in Linus's tree ever... But that's just a dev process issue. From a technical POV, this patch should go in 3.13.
It explains why -7.ucode works I haven't checked, but I guess that -7.ucode doesn't support the feature I disable in my patch. This code (power code) has been heavily reworked in 3.15 and other users reported that the issue doesn't reproduce on 3.15 even with 22.24.8.0 firmware. So, I'd say that I think I'd like to have the -9.ucode patch and the patch from comment $47. As for your comment #45 (why launchpad doesn't have a reply button :)) - yes you are right. You only need to change the define. I hope we'll be able to get some testing... I really want to solve / close / forget this issue :) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1293569 Title: iwlwifi-7260-8.ucode causes network disconnections problems To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-firmware/+bug/1293569/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
