Public bug reported:
Synaptic frequently times out on my modem connection due to the nature
of dialup internet. I have to constantly monitor my updates and retry
them when they timeout so they continue. Solutions would be the option
in synaptic to modify the timeout or an auto retry feature the same as
suse fou has.
