Dear WADA, How do other email clients deal with this situation on the commonly huge IMAP folders of Gmail ? I think this is a rather critical bug of Thunderbird. As you say, "some major IMAP servers don't notify flag status change via IDLE", and Tb should be able to deal with this situation OOB. If I understand correctly, the workaround only works well with small IMAP folders. Are there plans to fix this 2.5 years old bug ?
