Public bug reported: What must be done to reproduce:
Start wxmaxima. In Plot-Menu select 'Plot 2D'. Type in the first line where the %-sign is an opening bracket (. What happens: wxmaxima crashes What is expected: the plot of a given function eg. sin(x). In preferences matching parentheses/brackets is selected. If not, () works in 2D-Dialog box. Related: [] never works in main window. The preferences don't change the behaviour. maxima itself works without problems (tested in terminal).
