Public bug reported: exo-file-manager.desktop in exo-utils associates the x-scheme- handler/file MIME type. This causes a "File Manager" entry in every "Open With" menu, as well as issues in non-XFCE environments.
This was supposedly fixed: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/natty/+source/exo/+bug/956255 but is still present in Trusty.
