I've found the triggering event: it's minimizing the window. Reproducibility rate: every time. Only happens to maximized windows. I have experienced this bug with Firefox, Thunderbird, Steam, Virtuabox. Temporary fix: as I mentioned before, unmaximizing and maximizing the window.
