I can confirm, that Feisty kernel (from 7.04 repositories and from updates - 2.6.20-16) doesn't detect CD/DVD drives on lots of laptops, built on santarosa platform. Examples of such laptops are Sony Vaio AR41L , Vaio FZ11E and others (ASUS, Toshiba, etc). Because of this I can't start Feisty LiveCD on computers, built on santarosa platform. Ubuntu Dapper and Gutsy Tribe 5 kernels (from 08-23 LiveCD) start fine on such computers. Btw, isn't this bug related to bug #126552 ?
