That there is basically no Python 3 odbc support under Ubuntu after six months feels more than a little unsettling. Also, the unixodbc package is outdated(2.2) so that it cannot be used for connecting to SQL server using connection strings(2.3 from source works). Just wanted to bump this a bit, Ubuntu isn't an island anymore.
