** Description changed:

  Trusty i386 system

On that system, which have some old hardware : pata & sata hdds, ich7r
chip, i always have the first cold boot failing. Most of the time the
boot process try to repair some recursive issues itself, but always end
with something like " errors repaired but you need to reboot" or plenty
  code errors.

But this time i get what it seems the real issue:

  (verbose boot screen dialog)
  .....
  nx-protecting the kernel data: 5780k
  loading , please wait ...
  /lib/systemd/systemd-udevd: /lib/i386-linux-gnu/libc.so.6: libpthread.so.0:
version 'GLIBC_2.sN2' not found (required by /lib/i386-linux-gnu/librt.so.1)
tsc: refined TSC clocksource calibration: ....
  ....

So the 'not found' can be a right issue, or that loading issue a race
- trouble (as i understand it)
+ trouble (as i understand it), or something related to the previous
+ shutdown not beeing done cleanly : as the second cold boot mainly
+ succeed (gnome-session).
