Public bug reported: Summary: When I use LDAP to authenticate/create home directories on a live environment (casper initramfs), I get a kded crash every time I login, regardless of if the profile has been created yet or not. I can replicate this on the vanilla kubuntu live cd beta, I also build custom livecds from the 14.04 repos, and am still experiencing the issues with current packages (confirmed today) The same LDAP/PAM config on a hard disk install does not exhibit the symptom
I've attempted to get some more diagnostic information with assistance from the kde forums, but I'm not really coming up with anything useful at the moment: https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=67&t=120104&p=306273#p306273 I've attached the kcrash handler output for kded4 I also get a plasma-desktop crash on initial login, this does not occur on subsequent logins. I expect it's related, I'll attach the kcrash output for this as well.
