Monospace is not an "own font"; it's not a font that exists. It's a gtk alias for whatever the system's monospace font is set as, and from your last comment, that should be Ubuntu Mono. (the 9 in "Monospace 9" makes it so you don't end up with a 13px font eating your irc window.) IF the font being used by hexchat is in fact different from Ubuntu Mono, then that's not a hexchat bug, but rather one against something else - gtk, maybe. I'm reluctant to hardcode the font choice when having "Monospace" selected should just follow the rest of the system automatically.
