Yesterday I tried to update kernel on server to 2.6.22 and receive a kernel 
panic.
Symptoms were like discribed in first message.
Operation sytem FedoraCore 6
After rebootig into kernel 2.6.22 I have messages I type bellow

                Redhat nash version 5.1.19.0.3. starting

               kobject_add failed for :d-0000512 with -EEXIST, 
              don't try to register things with the same name in the same 
directory
                 kernel panic not syncyng: creation of kmalloc slab 
kmalloc_dma_512 size=512 failed

I remove this kernel and was curious to look trough on boot in previous kernel
After row that contains "Redhat nash version  starting" I saw
               sda: assuming drive cashe write trough
               sda: assuming drive cashe write trough
i.e. I saw this message 2 times

In my server I have hardware raid mirroring 2 phisical SATA drives in to one 
logical
FedoraCore used for x86_64 architecture on EMT64 processor
