Public bug reported: Please sync libsdl2 2.0.2+dfsg1-1 (universe) from Debian sid (main)
Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped: * Patch libtool.m4 and configure to support ppc64el. This should no longer be needed since this change in debian 2.0.1+dfsg1-3: * Use "dh_autoreconf" to support new architectures However I didnt' test it (no way to build on ppc64el myself). Explanation of FeatureFreeze exception: New upstream release with many bug fixes and some API additions, possibly needed by some games (e.g. Steam). Bakported and tested on my PPA: https://launchpad.net/~oibaf/+archive/graphics-drivers/+packages Changelog entries since current trusty version 2.0.1+dfsg1-1ubuntu1: libsdl2 (2.0.2+dfsg1-1) unstable; urgency=low * New upstream release - Remove patch applied upstream: fix_ftbfs_kfreebsd.diff - Add support for Wayland, including build-depends for libegl1-mesa-dev, libxkbcommon-dev and libwayland-dev.
