Sebastien, I wasn't aware that you had posted comments on Launchpad; I do not check it regularly. I took at look at .xsession-errors, and unfortunately, it has been overwritten since this problem last occurred. It's happened twice for me so far; next time it does I'll submit a bug report with the contents of .xsession-errors and reference this bug-ID.
