Brandon, THANK YOU, and all your kind!! Let me tell you, I've had my eye on oss for years, and ya'll are VERY CLOSE to taking over the WORLD! God (sri krishna, buddah, allah, etc) BLESS YOU EVErY ONE!
actually, I finally remembered the article on what to add to ubuntu (this guys 'perfect setup', etc) at the end, he mentioned "Oh yeah, and of course, easyubuntu.... That helped a lot. although, going thru the instructions, I was interrupted by a 'dialog' box that had tabs & checkmarks for adding non-oss media standards, etc (mp3, flash,...) So the instructions seem to need updating. Maybe I should help, Is there a place for suggestions? I was using dynebolic for a while, and damn if that's not a neat thing. I was as impressed with their 'installation' method as much as how many audio & media apps worked 'out of the box', especially after 'docking'. very cool - check it out. The LiveCD thing is also a big help to open source propagation. I've relegated myself to 'simply an end-user' ever since my FORTRAN class YEARS ago. but the industry seems SO much more exciting now. So many possibilities, so open, so great to see humanity helping each other instead of competing each other (to death...).
