Heyyo, Just an update. I've gotten the microphone port to work without issue by using alsamixer and going to input and Unmuting "AMic/DMic Auto Detect" which picked up input, but then I also did it for "Mic1-Boost" and that of course made it pick up sound better with the stereo microphone I have. Give it a shot! :)
