Public bug reported:

I was surprised with this features. Suddenly, the system started beeping
at him about a meeting and asked if I want to cancel, dismiss, ok , etc.

pressing OK or Cancel puts the UI away but doesn't shut the alarm
sounds. This is extremely annoying. BTW where is the setting to turn off
notification?
