I've just noticed that when I attempt to purge nvidia-331*, systems
insists on installing nvidia-304. Why?

# apt-get --purge remove nvidia-331
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
The following extra packages will be installed:
  nvidia-304 nvidia-current
The following packages will be REMOVED:
  nvidia-331*
The following NEW packages will be installed:
  nvidia-304 nvidia-current
0 to upgrade, 2 to newly install, 1 to remove and 3 not to upgrade.
Need to get 0 B/68.3 MB of archives.
After this operation, 27.4 MB disk space will be freed.
Do you want to continue [Y/n]?

In any case, I'll rerun the previous commands in addition to also
purging bumblebee and if anything fails, maybe it's time to move onto
the Salamanda!

Cheers,
ak.
