  In the "Sound" panel, the volume slider has a switch next to it. This
  switch is unlabelled and its purpose is not at all obvious.
  
- It turns out that this switch is for allowing volume to be increased
- beyond 100%, at the expense of clipping.
+ It turns out that this switch is for muting sound, and not for, say,
+ allowing volume to be increased beyond 100%.
  
  This should be labelled, and if the label is a verb phrase, changed from
  a switch to a checkbox.
