Public bug reported:

This must be something very simple such as a missing file, but when I type
'john' into the terminal, I get
fopen: john.ini: No such file or directory

and the program fails to start.

Also, why are only the following included in /usr/lib/john:
john-non-mmx john-non-sse

What about the MMX, SSE and other builds optimised for newer instruction
sets?
