OK, so I used hdajackretask to set jack detection to 'not present' for the front and back mic inputs, and things work as expected (I can select them from the 'sound settings' gui)
So is this just my sound card claiming that the front mic has jack sense when it doesn't, or is there a bug in the alsa driver? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1275178 Title: [GA-MA780G-UD3H, Realtek ALC889A, Pink Mic, Front] Recording problem To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/1275178/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
