I've installed vlc 2.1.1 from PPA. 
Now vlc does not want to play audio CDs at all! :) (when I launch them from 
gnome3 file manager).

Gnome's file manager tries to send audio track URIs like that:
cdda://sr0/Track%201.wav
cdda://sr0/Track%202.wav
cdda://sr0/Track%203.wav

vlc says that it can't open an MRL.

But when I launch vlc from command line like that:
vlc cdda:///dev/sr0
Then vlc plays CD ok.
