Using Ubuntu 13.10 x64 + IOS 7.0.4 + iPhone5s, it does not work by default. After updating libimobiledevice package to libimobiledevice4_1.1.6-git20140105_amd64.deb, I could plug my iPhone5s with no issue. It solve my trust-loop-problem.
