Please don't take this the wrong way, but is this package still being actively maintained in Ubuntu?
This is a very powerful suite of programs and the new version will offer so much more to Ubuntu users and administrators. This version was released two and a half months ago and has been in Debian Experimental since shortly after that. I'm not sure what sorts of hurdles exist with bringing this much- improved version onboard. I've talked to other administrators who were running the developmental 1.3 version on operational systems. I currently run 1.2 on my server and I'll be more than happy to help test new packages. Please let me know if I can help in any way.
