I think the context here is that the configuration can be bit of a run- around. Correctly enough, the mailman support list says to contact Ubuntu for support with configuration problems...this is the context of the bug request -- at least for me.
Installing mailman, and configuring it for a web interface are two different things. I appreciate that for current releases it might be onerous, but for future releases, this would be a good idea.
