an installed hwinfo, libhal1 and libhd16 from Raring repository:

The following NEW packages will be installed:

root@ubuntu:~# dpkg -l hwinfo

root@ubuntu:~# dpkg -l | grep ii | grep libhd16

     Hardware identification system library

everything woks fine. Could those three packages by copied from Raring
to Trusty repository?
