I just notice that the problem is even bigger. If for some reason you changed the default English language and leave the pc idle , eventually after a while the lock screen will hit.
At the lock screen if you try to switch to the English language so you can type your password it doesnt change using the "Alt + Shift L" but it also doesnt work using the trick that we said above "Shift L + Alt" . So the user is locked out of his pc and the only solution i found is to press Switch user to bring up the lighdm login screen instead , where you can manually select the typing language with the mouse.
