It is a clean install, on an amd64 machine. I am using the latest amd64-generic kernel (2.6.17-7 I think). The TTY's don't have anything, just when I try to switch between them nothing happens. TTY7 (the one where X should work) just has a blinking cursor. I do have X. The system appeared to be workign eprfectly before, then when I installed nvidia- glx and restarted it stopped workign immediately.
