Dell pulls this package directly from Ubuntu as a dependency for their OpenManage Server Administrator software. Customers have complained that the 1.3.8 version has had issues with memory leaks, which have been fixed as of 1.3.9.: http://lists.us.dell.com/pipermail/linux- poweredge/2013-December/048711.html I thought it would make sense to go ahead and pull in the latest and greatest for Trusty. I have built the latest version and currently have is stored here: https://launchpad.net/~dell-poweredge-team/+archive/poweredge- tools/+packages It installs cleanly on 14.04 and I so far haven't run into any problems with it.
