I would like to point out that gnome 2.x on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.x has been doing exactly this for the gnome password storage for ages.
So ... if the likes of red hat and gnoe can do this, should the KDE team really waste 8 years in a moralistic discussion about its emotional merit and security value? If security worries you, make it so that the feature is OFF by default, and the user gets a warning first time they enable it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kde4libs in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/397466 Title: There is no KWallet PAM integration To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/kde-baseapps/+bug/397466/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
