eviljoel, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com /daily-live/current/ .
If it remains an issue, could you please just make a comment to this. If reproducible, as per http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/X79%20Extreme6/?cat=Download&os=BIOS an update is available for your BIOS (2.80). If you update to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BiosUpdate , does it change anything? If it doesn't, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command: sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful. For more on BIOS updates and linux, please see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Bug_reporting_etiquette . Thank you for your understanding. ** Tags added: bios-outdated-2.80 ** Summary changed: - Booting fails with AsRock X79 Extreme6 motherboard and ASUS PCE-N10 wireless n PCIe adaptor. + [ASRock X79 Extreme6] Booting fails with ASUS PCE-N10 wireless n PCIe adaptor. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1219599 Title: [ASRock X79 Extreme6] Booting fails with ASUS PCE-N10 wireless n PCIe adaptor.
